What is a Roll-Off Bin or Dumpster?

A roll-off bin, also known as a roll-off dumpster, is a large open-top container used for temporary waste disposal during renovations, construction, demolition and major clean-up projects. These bins are delivered and removed using a specialized truck that safely rolls the container on and off the site.

Why do I need a Roll-Off Bin?

A roll-off dumpster is the most efficient way to manage waste during clean-outs, renovations, construction and demolition projects. It provides a safe, centralized place to collect debris, saving you time, effort and repeated trips to the landfill. Once the bin is full, we handle pickup and proper disposal for you. Roll-off bins are commonly used for:

  • Home cleanouts and decluttering projects
  • Renovations and remodeling, including demolition debris
  • Construction and job-site waste
  • Yard cleanups, landscaping and property maintenance
  • Estate clean-outs or large clean-up projects
  • New construction and commercial projects

Having a roll-off bin on site keeps your workspace clean, organized and efficient—allowing you to focus on the project instead of the waste.

What is a Front Load Bin?

Front-load dumpsters are ideal for routine garbage, offering a cost-effective and space-efficient solution for properties that generate consistent waste over time.

Do I need a Permit for a Dumpster Rental?

In most cases, a permit is not required if the bin is placed on your private property, such as a driveway or job site. However, if the bin needs to be placed on a public street or other municipal property, a permit may be required.

How long can I rent a Roll-Off Dumpster for?

You can keep the bin for as long as you need. Our standard rental includes a 3-day minimum, with longer weekly or monthly rental options available. If your project takes longer than expected, additional days can easily be added.

What is the approximate cost for a Roll-Off Bin?
  • 12 yard : 3 Day rentals $330 + Disposal Fees
  • 15 yard = 3 Day rentals $340 + Disposal Fees
  • 25 yard – inquire for rates and availability
  • 30 yard and 40 yard – inquire for rates and availability

Is there a weight restriction? Can I overfill the Roll-Off bin?

Yes — weight limits do apply. Standard household/ commercial garbage is typically not an issue; however, heavier materials such as concrete, fill, shingles or demolition debris can add up quickly. Bins are limited to 4 tonnes and must be filled no higher than the top edge of the container to ensure safe pickup and transport.

Do I need to be present when the dumpster is delivered?

While it’s helpful to have someone available at delivery, it’s not required. If you won’t be on site, please provide a clear description or photo of where you’d like the bin placed and we’ll do our best to position it accordingly—provided the location is safe and accessible for our driver.
If no instructions are provided and no one is present, the bin will be placed in the most accessible location on site.
